Please read these Terms and Conditions carefully before using our website or attending our events. By using our website or participating in Clwb Nawa activities, you agree to be bound by these terms.

1. Who We Are
Clwb Nawa is an unincorporated association based in Cardiff, Wales. We are a peer-led shibari and kinbaku community.

2. Age Requirement
You must be 18 years of age or over to register on this website, purchase tickets, or attend any Clwb Nawa event. By registering or purchasing a ticket, you confirm that you meet this requirement.
We reserve the right to refuse admission to any person who cannot verify their age.
3. Membership
Membership of Clwb Nawa is by application and approval only. Submitting a registration request does not guarantee membership.
- We reserve the right to approve or decline any application at our sole discretion, without being required to give reasons.
- Membership may be revoked at any time if a member breaches our Code of Conduct (see section 7) or these Terms and Conditions.
- There is no automatic right to membership or continued membership of Clwb Nawa.
4. Events and Ticket Sales
Booking
Event tickets are sold via Ticket Tailor. When you purchase a ticket, you agree to both these Terms and Conditions and Ticket Tailor's own Terms of Service.
Refunds and cancellations
- All ticket sales are final. We do not offer refunds unless an event is cancelled or significantly changed by us.
- If we cancel an event, you will receive a full refund of your ticket price.
- If an event is rescheduled, we will contact ticket holders with details. You may request a refund if you cannot attend the rescheduled date.
- Ticket transfers to another person may be permitted — please contact us at team@clwbnawa.co.uk in advance.
Attendance
- Purchasing a ticket does not guarantee entry if you are in breach of our Code of Conduct or these Terms and Conditions.
- We reserve the right to refuse entry to or remove any person from an event at our discretion.
- You attend Clwb Nawa events at your own risk. Please read our Safety information before attending.
5. Online Shop
Our online shop sells physical goods including rope, equipment, and merchandise.
Orders and payment
- Prices are listed in pounds sterling (GBP) and include VAT where applicable.
- Payment is processed securely via Stripe. By purchasing, you agree to Stripe's terms. We do not store your payment card details.
- An order confirmation email will be sent to the address you provide at checkout.
Delivery
- We aim to dispatch orders within 5 working days. Delivery times will vary by carrier and destination.
- Delivery charges, where applicable, will be shown at checkout before you complete your order.
- We are not responsible for delays caused by postal or courier services outside our control.
Returns and refunds
Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 and the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013, you have the following rights:
- Cancellation right: For most online purchases, you have 14 days from receipt of your goods to cancel your order and return items for a full refund, without needing to give a reason.
- Faulty or misdescribed goods: If goods are faulty, not as described, or not fit for purpose, you are entitled to a repair, replacement, or refund under the Consumer Rights Act 2015.
- To initiate a return, please contact us at team@clwbnawa.co.uk. Return postage costs for non-faulty items are the buyer's responsibility.
6. Safety and Assumption of Risk
Rope bondage involves physical activity that carries an inherent risk of injury. By participating in Clwb Nawa events, you acknowledge that:
- You have read and understood our Safety information.
- You are participating voluntarily and accept the physical risks involved.
- Clwb Nawa provides safety information and guidance, but cannot guarantee the safety of participants.
- You are responsible for your own safety and for communicating any relevant health conditions to your rope partner before tying.
- You should not participate if you have any medical condition that may be aggravated by rope bondage without first seeking medical advice.
Nothing in these Terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence.
7. Code of Conduct
All members and event attendees must abide by our Code of Conduct. Key principles include:
- Consent: All rope activity must be fully consensual. Consent must be freely given, informed, and ongoing. Consent can be withdrawn at any time.
- Respect: Treat all attendees with respect regardless of experience level, background, gender identity, sexual orientation, ethnicity, or any other characteristic.
- Safe practice: Follow safety guidelines, check in with your partner, and be prepared to stop at any point.
- No unsolicited contact: Do not approach, touch, or tie anyone without their explicit prior consent.
- Sobriety: Do not participate in rope activities while intoxicated or under the influence of substances.
Breaches of the Code of Conduct may result in removal from an event and/or permanent exclusion from Clwb Nawa without refund.
8. Intellectual Property
All content on this website — including text, images, graphics, and educational materials — is owned by or licensed to Clwb Nawa unless otherwise stated. You may not reproduce, distribute, or use our content without our prior written permission.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by the Consumer Rights Act 2015 and applicable law:
- We are not liable for any indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of our website or attendance at our events.
- Our total liability to you in connection with these Terms shall not exceed the amount you paid to us for the relevant product or service.
- Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits our liability for: death or personal injury caused by our negligence; fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation; any matter where it would be illegal for us to exclude or restrict our liability; or any rights you have as a consumer that cannot be excluded by contract.
10. Privacy
Our Privacy Policy explains how we collect and use your personal data. By using our website or participating in our events, you acknowledge that you have read our Privacy Policy.
11. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms and Conditions from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated date. Continued use of the website or attendance at events after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms.

These Terms and Conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
